Del Ray Shield

I don't have the batwing, but I installed the Del Ray shield on my bike. Looks good, still has that sport look and keeps the wing off my chest. It still hits your face but I wear a 3/4 helmet with shield so it doesn't matter.

I was on the phatperformance site and trying to find which fairing fits a v-rod. I sent an e mail to them and they wanted a part # due to them saying they have many variations of fairings. Does anyone have a fairing from Phatperformance? And if so how well do you like it? the part #? and your $. Thanks.

 

Looks a lot like the Kenday I have, but they have the mounts figured out. I had to make my own. I like the Kenday being able to use the HD Batwing Bra, so I didin't have to paint the fairing. I finally went with the low windscreen and a full face helmet. Great combo. I did replace the headlight with one that filled the fairing. The price is the same as the Kenday (and $4000 less than the RoadRod conversion).

 

That Fairing is a real bargin!
I have seen it as low as $159 without the windshield and mounting hardware.

I was just on Phat Performance and wonder who if anyone has instaled this Memphis Shades Batwing Fairing. Also, if anyone has, does it come with mounting hardware AND how was the stability at speeds such as cruising @ 80mph?

 

I suspect you are on your own. But get 4 HD quick disconnect fittings for your model V-Rod, some 1"x1/8" aluminum from Lowes and make your own.

 

The V-Mod site has a complete package on this, but it is pricey.

$509 is a bargain.

 

They are selling for under $400 on ebay with everything included for other models. The msrp prices are all the same on the website so I don't get where the $500 is coming from???

 

From the pic at their site it looks like they're including the kuryakyn 49mm clamps x 4 . Prob what bumped up the price.

 

Indeed. The HD clamps are nearly $30 apiece (and prone to breakage).
